WDMLA Committees
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for a comprehensive operation of the WDMLA and will oversee the following committees: Membership, Finance, Marketing, Program. It is presently comprised of five chamber members interested in the future leadership of our West Des Moines community and in providing leadership learning opportunities to members of the community.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is responsible for application updates and the final selection of each leadership class, making certain the class is comprised of both existing and emerging leaders representing a broad cross-section of the community.
Finance Committee
The Finance committee will be in charge of all funds generated by the WDMLA including tuition and sponsorships. It will also be responsible for issuing checks for costs incurred by the WDMLA such as speaker fees, transportation costs, program materials and food/beverage costs.
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee is responsible for ensuring that all public communications are consistent with the brand image of the WDMLA. This Committee oversees and promotes all activities, including the development and production of printed materials, press releases, advertisements, website and other forms of marketing communication.
Programs Committee
The Programs Committee is responsible for providing a state-of-art curriculum that allows participants meaningful exposure to the issues that drive the West Des Moines community. In addition, the program committee will secure top leadership speakers who will share skills and effective leadership styles with the class participants.
