Brian Mamola
Inaugural Class of 2009
Brian Mamola joined FBL Financial Group in 2004. He currently serves as Corporate Actuarial Vice President, where he is responsible for all actuarial valuation services. He is also responsible for measuring interest rate risk and serves on the Asset Liability Committee for Farm Bureau Life and EquiTrust Life. In addition, he currently serves as the appointed actuary for Farm Bureau Life and EquiTrust Life.
Prior to joining FBL, Brian worked in the actuarial department for AmerUs Group.
Brian attained his Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation in 2005. He is also a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). In addition, he is a member of the Iowa Actuaries Club.
A graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Outside of work, Brian is actively involved in a number of churches in the community. He also volunteers as a coach through the Urbandale Soccer Club.
Brian has been married for 10 years and is the proud father of three children – Solomon (6), Ana (3), and Ainsley (1).
