Jeff Kerber

Jeffrey S. Kerber, Ph.D. LMFT is currently the Clinic Administrator of the Counseling Centers for Central Iowa (CCCI) of Iowa Health Des Moines and Blank Psychiatry. Dr. Kerber also manages the Iowa Health Des Moines Employee Assistance Program serving health system physicians, staff and their family members in addition to various contracted companies located in and around central Iowa. Prior to clinic administration Dr. Kerber was a full time practicing clinician for the past 15 years. Since 1998 he served as Senior Therapist on staff at the Counseling Centers and for 5 years previously at Broadlawns Medical Center. In addition Dr. Kerber served as the first Executive Director and legislative lobbyist for the Iowa Association for Marriage and Family Therapy for 10 years.
His education includes a bachelor of arts degree with double majors in psychology and religion from St. Olaf College in Northfield MN – followed by a Master of Science degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Wisconsin – Stout and a Doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies with a clinical specialization in marriage and family therapy from Iowa State University.
He is blessed with his wife of 9 years Jeanie and their children – Joseph age 4, Joshua age 2 and Elsa age 6 months. When not working or with family he practices and teaches Tae Kwon Do as a 3rd degree black belt.
