Tina Gray

Inaugural Class of 2009
While at Shive-Hattery, Tina has led the effort to redefine the marketing coordinator position in the West Des Moines office as well as throughout the company. Upon hire, the marketing coordinator position was highly task-oriented. Throughout her tenure at Shive-Hattery, she has restructured the position into a leadership role.
Tina spearheaded the effort to graphically enhance marketing materials, including proposals. Working in conjunction with the Office Director, she develops, manages and maintains strategic marketing action plans and yearly marketing goals. Additional responsibilities include assisting Shive-Hattery’s five marketing divisions to develop key marketing tactics and plans while organizing their monthly meetings. Her team also oversees all the photography for completed projects; advertising and sponsorships; public relations; and the graphic design/content development and writing of various marketing pieces, advertisements and display graphics for the office. Tina earned her designation as a Certified Professional Services Marketer in June of 2007. She is one of two people with the designation in the state of Iowa.
After graduating with the inaugural class of the West Des Moines Leadership Academy in 2009, Tina continues to be active in the continued success of the program. She held a board position from 2009-2010. She was asked to be the chair-elect for the 2010-2011 year. She currently holds the chair position and led the charge in developing a new logo and ‘look’ for the organization as well as initiating strategic planning.
Tina’s love for animals and passion for helping others led her to become actively involved with various animal organizations. She is a Blank Park Zoo Ambassador, assists with graphic design projects for the Animal Rescue League of Iowa and Animal Lifeline of Iowa and sat on a committee to assist the communities of West Des Moines, Clive and Urbandale in developing a new animal care facility. (This project is currently on hold).
Born and raised in Newton, Tina now lives in Beaverdale with her boyfriend Jay, his son Finn and their two cats Mo and Hershey. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, fitness, Indonesian martial arts, reading and photography.
