Class of 2010

Lynn McRoberts is the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff in the Office of Governor Terry E. Branstad. In this position, Lynn is primarily responsible for overseeing constituent services to Iowans in all 99 counties and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Governor's office. Lynn was a part of Governor Branstad's campaign, serving as the Finance Assistant from November 2009 to January 2011. In that role, Lynn was responsible for the finances of the campaign and oversaw various fundraising projects and coordinated campaign fundraising events.

Prior to her work with Governor Branstad, Lynn worked at the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce as the Communications Assistant. Lynn has spent the last five and a half years in local, state and federal politics in the state of Iowa. She served as an intern in the Office of Presidential Scheduling and Appointments in the White House during the summer of 2008 and worked for Senator McCain prior to the Iowa caucuses and the Michigan primary. She graduated from Drake University with a degree in Political Science in December of 2008.

Born and raised in Kansas, Lynn moved here for college and has decided to make Des Moines home. She is an active member of Lutheran Church of Hope-CityBranch. In her limited free-time, she enjoys scrapbooking, hanging out with friends and family, and attending as many University of Kansas football and men's basketball games as possible.
