Bill Fajen was born and raised in West Des Moines. He graduated from Valley High School in 1993 and Drake University in 1997. After graduation from Drake, Bill began working for Brenton Bank until 2001 when he joined First American Bank. Bill was a Vice President with First American Bank and provided commercial loans to corporate borrowers in the Greater Des Moines Area.
Bill married his wife Jean in May of 2000 and they have a 3 year old son named Noah.
Bill has been involved with Hawthorn Hill, a non-profit that operates a shelter for homeless women as well as 21 transitional housing units. Bill has been on the board of directors since 2002 and positions have included Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President.
