With more than 16 years of experience in property and casualty, Senior Vice President Gerald Johnson has served leading companies from around the world—providing them with strategic solutions for their risk management needs and creating innovative insurance programs to protect their business assets.
Johnson’s specialization is redefining risk management for clients in a broad range of industries. The professionals on his risk management team include specialists in loss control, claims management, and human resource consulting. All are trained in the nuances of each industries operations and subsequent risks. Johnson orchestrates their specific field knowledge into solutions that reduce the cost of risk for his clients.
Johnson joined Holmes Murphy in 1994, following an internship with the Federal Trade Commission and several years with another major brokerage firm. In 2001, Johnson formalized his commitment to Holmes Murphy and its clients by becoming a shareholder. As a leader of one of the nation’s top-ranked independent insurance brokers, he personifies the company’s core values: integrity, expert know-how, and exceptional service.
Johnson is a University of Northern Iowa graduate with a degree in finance. He sits on the Board of Directors for the YMCA.
