I received my diploma from Urbandale High School in 1991.
I earned my Bachelors from the University of Northern Iowa in Earth Science Education with minors in Biology and Coaching in 1996.
I earned my Master degree in Educational Leadership from Drake University in 2004. (Magna Cum Laude)
I am currently enrolled at Drake in pursuit of a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership with a superintendence license.
Took my first job in Freeport, Ill where I taught 9th grade science and biology for two years. In addition I coached junior high football and track.
Moved to West Des Moines in 1998 to work at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School as a General Science teacher including coaching JH football and basketball at Stilwell for the next 7 years.
In 2005, I continued my work at Valley Southwoods as an Associate Principal/Team Leader.
I enjoy all things outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and golfing. Three years ago Tricia, wife of 13 years, and I moved to an acreage just south of Adel where we enjoy seeing deer, turkey, and pheasants on a daily basis. Our son, Bo, is 19 months old and loves chasing around his best friend Vegas the family dog who is a giant yellow lab.
